Founder of Writer’s Toolbox, Dr. Hunter, and his team reached out to DankoSec to present a security system for their new office. They required smartphones and remote access. The intrusion system would need to be remotely armed when required. The CCTV system would need to be remotely viewed on motion detection; the intercom system would need to be answered whenever the reception isn’t at their desk. The catch? They’d appreciate the next-week installment!
A MaxPro Cloud integrated Access Control and Intrusion. Namely, MaxPro Intrusion and NetAXS-123. For the CCTV we have engaged the Honeywell MaxPro NVR. For the intercom, we proposed the reliable and robust Aiphone JO Series Video Intercom with mobile app capability.
One of the Toolbox support team members, Jared, informed us of their decision-making process. Typically, we require a few weeks to design the system, order equipment, pre-test/program all devices, and then implement installation on site. Of course, this couldn’t be the case with such a tight deadline. Our quote was accepted on a Monday, the equipment arrived on Wednesday, and our team was installing it by Thursday. Steve Danko, Director of DankoSec, was onsite himself with the tools out, to ensure a smooth and accurate installation for the Writer’s Toolbox Team.
Within a week, we had the intrusion detection system up and running (even with a few obstacles for our technicians along the way). Dr. Hunter and the Writer’s Toolbox team were a delight to work with—providing us with weekend access, extended weekday access, and meeting us on site to lock up the premises at end of the day.
A few days after the intrusion system was live, we had the CCTV, Access Control & Intercom system fully working as planned. We had to be analytical with our approach to Access Control as the previous tenants had access control installed. Once our system was in place, we cut the previous tenant’s system and our approach paid off—the cut-over was a breeze!
